The answers below describe the product as it is offered today. The current application, plan details, and service policies take precedence over a roadmap or example.
What is Jotzu?
Jotzu is a hosted workspace for reviewing and collaborating on interactive documents. Upload a draft, leave comments on specific parts, invite collaborators, and send selected feedback to your own connected AI agent. Document versions stay together in the workspace.
Which document formats does Jotzu support?
HTML documents are supported today, including interactive elements that work within the preview's rendering restrictions. Jotzu is designed around interactive documents rather than a permanent HTML-only product definition. This does not mean PDF, Word, or every other format can currently be uploaded.
Can I use Jotzu on my own?
Yes. You can review your own documents, leave notes, keep revision history, and work with your own external AI agent. Inviting collaborators is optional; an AI connection is not required to use the document-review workflow.
Does Jotzu come with an AI model?
No. Jotzu is the review workspace, not a model provider. You can connect your own external assistant through a compatible MCP client. Your assistant and model access are separate, and their terms and charges apply.
Will every AI assistant work with Jotzu?
An assistant needs compatible MCP support, including the connection's authentication and tools. Background waiting and execution capabilities differ between clients. Jotzu does not promise identical functionality or unattended support across every AI application. The agent connection guide explains the workflow.
Does mentioning an agent automatically start work?
No. A mention names an agent in a comment. To start work, the owner selects the feedback and explicitly sends it to their agent. That separates a discussion from permission to run a task.
What happens when an agent returns a revision?
A valid publication based on the current document version becomes the next current revision. Work based on an outdated version is kept as a conflict instead of silently overwriting newer work. The previous revisions remain in history, and an agent reply does not automatically resolve a comment.
Who can see or change a document?
Access depends on the document's sharing settings and workspace permissions. Roles distinguish viewing, commenting, editing, and ownership. Your connected agent works within your permitted access; it does not receive independent administrator privileges.
Can I export documents from Jotzu?
People with access to a document can export visible revisions as HTML or rendered PDF. HTML contains the stored document; PDF is a rendered snapshot rather than an interactive document. Some sharing modes, such as guest access, may have different capabilities.
Does Jotzu train AI models on my documents?
No. Jotzu does not use Customer Content to train or fine-tune AI models or instruct its service providers to do so. If you choose an independent AI assistant, that provider's own terms and settings govern the content you authorize it to receive.
Can I start for free?
Yes. A free plan is available, subject to its features and limits. Current plan details and any paid options are shown in the application. External AI providers may charge separately; using Jotzu does not include a model subscription.
Is Jotzu a document editor or website builder?
Jotzu is primarily a review and collaboration workspace. You can publish documents and revisions, discuss them in context, and send feedback to external agents. It is not a full word processor, a live code editor, or a hosting platform for arbitrary web applications.
