## What is Jotzu?

Jotzu is a hosted workspace for reviewing and collaborating on interactive documents. You can upload a draft, leave comments on specific text or points, share it with other people, and send selected feedback to your own connected AI agent. Each new version stays with the document rather than becoming another detached file.

Jotzu is for individuals as well as collaborators. You do not need a team or an AI connection to start reviewing a supported document. Jotzu is in beta and free to use while the beta lasts.

## 1. Bring in an interactive document

Upload a supported document through the application. A permitted external agent can also publish through Jotzu's supported interfaces. HTML is the current upload format. An interactive report, a proposal, or a concept document can include layout and interactive elements rather than being reduced to a screenshot before review.

The document preview runs within Jotzu's rendering restrictions. Not every external script, resource, or web-app feature is supported. An arbitrary live website is not the same thing as an uploaded document. Future format support is separate from the formats available today.

## 2. Put feedback in the right place

Select text or mark a point in the document to leave feedback. A comment keeps the location and revision it refers to. Replies keep the conversation together. Open and resolved comments help you distinguish work still being discussed from feedback already addressed.

Instead of “the thing near the bottom,” you can point to the exact sentence or visual. When you revisit an older revision, the original context is still meaningful: comments are not silently moved to a different sentence in a newer draft.

## 3. Invite a second perspective

Share a document with people who need to see it. Document permissions distinguish viewing, commenting, editing, and ownership. A viewer can read and export visible revisions; a commenter can join the discussion. Editors can publish revisions. Owners manage ownership and document deletion.

An invitation and a document link are not a promise that anyone on the internet can access the work. Access depends on the sharing method and permissions in use. Review your sharing choices before sending a document containing private information.

## 4. Turn selected feedback into an agent brief

Connect your own external assistant through a compatible MCP client. In the review, select the feedback you want addressed, choose your agent, and explicitly send the work. Mentioning an agent by itself does not start a task.

The selected comments and their document context form a focused work request. An agent connection belongs to a person and operates within that person's permitted access. A collaborator does not gain the ability to spend your AI budget simply by typing your agent's name.

Jotzu does not supply the underlying AI model. Your assistant and model provider remain separate, and their charges and data practices apply to the information you authorize them to receive. Client capabilities determine how work is received and whether the assistant can wait for new requests in the background.

## 5. Review the next revision

Your agent can return a revision, or you can upload one yourself. A valid publication based on the current document version becomes the next current revision. Work based on an outdated version is kept as a conflict rather than silently replacing newer work.

Use revision history to revisit earlier work and inspect change summaries where available. Reverting creates another revision; it does not rewrite the past. Publishing a revision and resolving a comment are separate actions, so an agent response does not automatically mark every discussion finished.

## 6. Export the version you need

Export a visible revision as HTML or PDF. HTML preserves the stored document format; PDF provides a rendered snapshot for sharing outside the interactive workspace. PDF export is not a promise that all interactions or selectable text carry over.

Keep an independent copy of work that matters. Jotzu is a review workspace, not a guaranteed archival or backup service.

## The workflow in one sentence

Bring a document, review it in context, send selected feedback to your own agent or revise it yourself, and keep the conversation and versions together.
